I have done everything over and over and still can't get webmail lite to start using Localhost/webmail/adminpanel.
I am setting this up on an XP machine and followed the instructions for doing this.
Any help I can get is appreciated.

WebMail is *NOT* supposed to start on http://localhost/webmail/adminpanel/ address, as that's where you access administrative interface. Instead, you should be accessing it via http://localhost/webmail/ address.

I'm not sure I understand what exactly is the problem. Are you getting any error messages, or it's just that you can't log in?

Are you speaking of settings in user account area, or general options configured in adminpanel?
And, I understand you're using the latest version of WebMail Lite PHP, correct?
Most likely, this has something to do with permissions. The recommended approach is to setup WebMail using built-in installer available at the URL which looks like http://localhost/webmail/install/ ; this installation wizard is able to detect various configuration issues, including permission-related ones.

I give up, I am going to get someone locally to help me and maybe they can figure out what is happening on this end. If and when I get it figure out, I'll reply back.
