I'm totally new to webmail. I have a hmailserver installation on win server 2008 (VPS). After some fight I succeded to install and let work webmail lite (last release just downloaded). I just could let it work providing ODBC string, but now it's working and I must say I'm impressed with its quality. Very very good piece of soft. I configured to work as direct on localhost (user must provide full e-mail to login).
Now I was attempting to let change password work, following instructions at http://www.afterlogic.com/wiki/Integration_with_hMailServer_(WebMail_Pro_6_.NET)
The first thing I've done was to create domains within admin page. The second one was to copy Interop.hMailServer.dll to bin subfolder of WebMail. And here comes the first problem. After doing that my webmail stopped running and when a user attempt to login the following error appear:
Server Error in '/webmail' Application. Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {D6567EF8-0A6C-48E7-9288-A2463123C2F3} failed due to the following error: 80070005.
I cancelled Interop.hMailServer.dll from the bin subfolder, when I had copid it, and everything in now working well ... it seems that copying that file causes that error !! How to solve it ??

No idea, sorry. The integration you're speaking of was designed for the Pro version, it was never tested with Lite - though we had some positive reports from a few users on this one.

so Interop.hMailServer.dl can not be used with webmail lite ... right ??
Is it possible to get contact with some user that successfull yused it ... just to get help ? Thanks

I have prepared a document on how to let change password work.
So if you can send me your Email ID, i can mail you the document which i have prepared by doing some modification for Webmail Lite.

Ok followed instructions by abhishek ... I do not get the error message anymore. Everything is running ... but, when logging as a normal user, I can not find anywhere an option to change my password. Where this should be 9in pro version you find this option where ?) ... how to check if it works ? Regards

Abhishek is a great guy ... the procedure he described works with webmail lite (.net version). Few problems which have been solved.
Noticed that webmail get a cache ... accounts that have been accessed before the procedure do not appear the change/password option ... all the other yes. Probably is just a matter to clean cache or wait for it to update.
