Hi, and many thanks for the open source edition. Running on the latest .NET edition on Windows 2008R2 with SQL Server, a couple of issues:
1. I've got an issue with aliases. If I've got a user with account first@x.com do I specify their alias by adding first.last@x.com using the 'aliases' tab for that user?
2. I accidentally created a mailing list with the name of an alias. Problem 1 is that I do not seem to be able to delete the list. Selecting the check-box in the user view and clicking delete simply ends up with a 'Update unsuccessful' message.
3. Given the accidental existence of this mailing list - how can I add an alias of the same name?
Many thanks

I think this is actually about some other product, not WebMail Lite ASP.NET, as it doesn't allow for setting up aliases or mailing lists, and it wouldn't be possible in terms of standalone webmail client at all. That is only possible if there's a deep integration between email client and particular mail server.
In the past, there was a bundled solution called XMail Server Lite, so maybe these things were available there, but that product was discontinued years ago.

Indeed, it is XMail Server .NET. It is rather good - shame it was discontinued!
