Hi,
I am using PHP version for AfterLogic WebMail Lite 6.
Everything is working fine but I am unable to change password using WebMail.
Though I type a new passowrd in the Email settings for Webmail, it doesnt work.
Any help would be appreciated.
We are using Hmail server as our mail server.

I believe the password field u see in the webmail is just the setting of Afterlogic webmail. It doesn't change the password of your hMailServer.
See here...
Im looking for the solution to change password as well.

nlks is correct, there's no way to modify account password via WebMail. The product uses standard email protocols SMTP, POP3 and IMAP - and none of those supports changing passwords. So it's not a restriction of the product, you can't change account password from Outlook Express or Thunderbird either.

Hi,
Finally i have tried out a way to change the password.
I enabled 'plugins.poppassd-change-password' => true option in data/settings/config.php file... so far so good...
When I log in one account and try to change my password in Email accounts settings, I get an error saying "Can't save new password.". It's driving me crazy, since I tested many times and I'm absolutely sure both New password and Confirm new password fields are OK...

Well if you're not running POPPASSD on your system, you will not be able to change password that way, unless of course you modify the code to interact with hMailServer instead.

Igor,
I tried searching POPPASSD for Windows as we are running our mail server on Windows server 2008, but was unable to find the setup for POPPASSD.
So can you please help me out with the either the POPPASSD setup for Windows or the modificationbs that are to be done on in the code to interact with Hmail server.

Hi,
I have switched to ASP.net version of Webmail Lite and I have integrated the settings to work with Hmail server as well.
But when i am trying to chnge password i get the following error:
There was an error while updating account
Any help would be appreciated.
OS: Windows server 2008
Webmail: AfterLogic Webmail Lite(ASP.net version)

Password change was implemented and designed for the Pro only. We have no idea if it's going to work with Lite, though I believe there were several reports of successful use of the feature in WebMail Lite ASP.NET.
The main problem here is that while WebMail Pro is 6.2 at the moment, Lite is still 5.1, so the codebase is outdated there.

I see that you tried ASP version on hMailServer on 2008, I tried same thing.
