Hi all,

I am having problems in connecting to webmail using AfterLogic Lite.
I can connect to webmail for some domains wheras i am getting the following error for some of our domains:
Can't connect to mail server.
I can connect to all the domains using outlook but having problems with the Webmail for some domains.
I have checked but unable to solve the issue.
We are using Hmail server as our mail server.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using PHP or ASP.NET version of WebMail Lite? And is my understanding correct that there are domains hosted by hMailServer which are accessed by WebMail just fine, only some of those have problems?

In any case, you will need to enable logging in AdminPanel, replicate the problem and see what's in the logs.

By the way, I recall there was a problem with hMailServer when incoming mail host ws specified as localhost, supplying 127.0.0.1 instead solved that.

Thanks for the quick reply Igor.
We are using PHP version of Webmail Lite.
Yes, you are right.Domains hosted by hMailServer which are accessed by WebMail just fine, only some of those have problems.
We have enabled user activity in the admin panel and din't enable debug logging as it has many options and I am not sure which one to choose.
We have specifed tha mail host as local host under smtp setting in Hmail server.
We have specified the incoming and outgoing mail as 127.0.0.1 in admin panel of AfterLogic.

User activity log isn't what going to help here, checking debug logs is required. It has a number of verbosity levels, "Debug" one should be selected.

I will surely check with the debug logs and will get back to you Igor.
Apart from that are these setting correct:
We have specifed tha mail host as local host under smtp setting in Hmail server.
We have specified the incoming and outgoing mail as 127.0.0.1 in admin panel of AfterLogic.
Thank you for the support that you are providing to us.

Assuming you run WebMail and hMailServer on the same machine, those settings should be fine indeed.
