Hello,
I have install webmail lite and it works great, but i cannot send any email.
my settings are:

Incoming mail 127.0.0.1 Port 993   Use SSL
Outgoing mail 127.0.0.1     Port 465   Use SSL
Use incoming mail's login/password of the user

I am runnig postfix/dovecot, and in the logs i have:

postfix/smtpd[86613]: connect from localhost[127.0.0.1]
postfix/smtpd[86613]: lost connection after AUTH from localhost[127.0.0.1]
postfix/smtpd[86613]: disconnect from localhost[127.0.0.1]

Note that i am currently using RoundCube webmail and it works fine.

Can you help me with this problem?

Do you use PHP or ASP.NET version of the product? Did you check WebMail logs, is there anything relevant there?

You have mentioned RoundCube, is it also configured to send mail via SSL-enabled SMTP? Is it an option for you to use non-SSL port 25 with WebMail Lite? For now, this sounds liks SMTP server issue, so see if you can get the same configuration working for any other email client installed on that system. Trying WebMail Pro might be an option, by the way.

Hello Igor,
As i have mentioned in my previous post, i currently use roundcube webmail and it works with my ssl-enabled smtp which is postfix. I have also tested on mua's like Thunderbird and outlook and it works fine with all protocols. I was wandering if there is a config file where i can set more advanced settings. I cannot and don't whant to use non ssl port, can this possibly be a missing feature from webmail lite that is found in webmail pro? Can you confirm this?

Both Lite and Pro versions should be able to use SSL-enabled SMTP just fine, that applies to other protocols as well.

To assist you further on this, we would need debug logs of WebMail Lite recorded while attempting to send a message out.

I have the same problem, webmail is running on the mail server which uses postfix and dovecot on a Fedora 16 platform. Did you find a solution?

We might be able to assist here, but we need to know what's recorded in debug logs of WebMail when the issue occurs.
