Hi,
I haven't seen this problem on the forums so far so i'd like to post it here.
I installed Webmail Lite recently, with no errors. All green lights in compatibility test and connects to database successfully...
But when i go to login the Enter button doesn't do anything, all the fields (buttons, label, sign me checkbox) all have the prefix "LANG_" and i cannot figure out what the problem is.
Can someone please help.
Thank you,
Adkar

First of all, PHP or ASP.NET version? The latest one?
Have you changed language setting from English to a different one? Does it work OK for English?

Hi,
It is the ASP.NET version and I downloaded it a few days ago so it should be the latest version 5.1.4.
I did change the language settings between different languages but it didnt change anything.
Locally the program works perfectly, but when published to a domain of ours the user login page doesn't work.
Hope that helps clarify my problem,
Thank you,
Adkar

I suspect this might be caused by some files which refuse to load, maybe due to networking issues, firewall restriction or web server config. Using Firebug extension of Mozilla Firefox, check through the files being loaded and look for any content which cannot be loaded.

Thanks Igor,
I used the Firebug extension and found that there is a 500 Internal Server Error with the langs-js.aspx page but only that page is being affected.
What other reasons could there be for this problem in loading the one file?
I will look at the firewall and web server config possibilities so long.
Regards,
Adkar

Try accessing that file directly by entering its URL in a browser. If there's a generic error shown without any details, you'll need to disable friendly error messages in IIS config.
Checking special debug logs and Windows Event Viewer logs (eventvwr) might also be of help.

Ok i disabled friendly error messages, browsed to the file directly and received the following error:
Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture (or the neutral culture) on disk. baseName: webmail locationInfo: <null> fileName: webmail.resources
And it also highlights the function: <%=OutputLangsConsts()%>

I found the problem. The resource files were not being uploaded properly so I uploaded them via FTP and everything seems to be working great
If I may, I'd like to ask for help with a different problem.
I logged into an email account through the Webmail Lite software but the inbox was empty, so i sent a test message to that address and re-checked mail and only that new test message came through but it was erased again when i logged out and back in.
Do you know what the cause of this could be?
Thank you for all your help so far Igor.

Adkar

Off the top of my head, I have no idea what might cause that, and I don't recall any similar issues reported by other clients. It could be that checking both the logs could help. Also, you might want to check if the same issue occurs for the Pro version as Lite ASP.NET wasn't updated in a while. Currently, we can guarantee support for Pro version only.

Ok i checked the logs and everything was fine, eventually found it was simply a setting that i needed to change.
Thanks again Igor,
