I have installed the new release and tested it.
The first remark is that, when the installer creates IIS virtual directories, it sets a wrong user for the anonymous access ("iusr_#servername#" instead "iusr_server"; this occurrence is somewhat strange because this user is already configured in the main properties of IIS and propagates into any new site and/or virtual directory automatically), which prevents the access.
The second, more relevant, question is that in no way the application is able to write into files contained in the program folder, so that no log files are created and no modifications to records such that reference e-mail addresses and other parameters that should be written in a file are successful. I think that the problem relies on an erroneous user assumed for asp.net operations: is it "ASPNET" or some other? This explanation is supported by the fact that, even by allowing to "everyone" write access, the result is the same.
Thank you for help

In order to help you, we need to know what operating system you use and what IIS version you run.

Windows 2000 server SP4 (IIS 5.0) with asp.net 2.0.50727 (which create the user ASPNET).
Thank you very much
