Hello everyone,

Each user in WebMail Pro has several personal settings they can configure. As an administrator, I’d like to set default options for these preferences — for example, enabling “Read new messages on login.”

I’ve managed to change initial values in SQL when creating new accounts, and that part seems to work fine. However, I’ve noticed that many users get confused when they delete an email in WebMail, since it still appears accessible through Outlook or Outlook Express.

Is there a way to modify the default rules or behaviors for message deletion so it’s clearer and more consistent across clients?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello,

If you delete a message in WebMail Pro PHP, it gets moved to Trash folder, and if you empty Trash message gets removed from the mail server. There's nothing really to configure on WebMail Pro side as it does not store local copies of the messages - but some other clients do, particularly those which use older POP3 protocol. If you use a modern email client with IMAP protocol, it should behave exactly the way WebMail Pro does.

Also I wonder whether you're actually on the latest WebMail Pro PHP version, as there's no such setting as “Read new messages on login" there.
