We just recently started having an issue sending emails using webmail pro. Everytime we try to send a mail outside our own domain we recive the following error:

[Error: Negative or void server response]
Server Responded: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for emailaddress@outsidedomain.com

We are using Windows 2003 builtin IIS SMTP server and POP Services.

Nothing was changed on our SMTP or POP server.

Can you provide us with assistance ASAP.

Thanks

Phil

you have to authorize for the relay the ip of your webmail ip.

It is not a webmail issue i think.

Yes, that is correct.

Typical reason of messages not being sent is relay restrictions of the SMTP server. It seems your IIS SMTP server does not allow sending to external addresses. To configure your IIS SMTP server restrictions please follow the next steps:

- right-click at "Default SMTP Virtual Server" in Internet Services Manager
- choose "Properties";
- select "Access" tab;
- click at "Relay" button.

After that, you can specify which computer may relay through your virtual server.

Alternatively, you may turn on SMTP authentication in your MailBee WebMail Pro account (Settings / Properties / "Use SMTP authentication" checkbox).

Best regards,
Alex
