It would be nice if I could just type my assigned nickname (from Address book) in my to field, and then Webmail would automatically get the full name + email

Thank you for the suggestion.
As far as I understand, you mean WebMail must check To/Cc/Bcc fields before actual sending and replace friendly name patterns found in address book with actual addresses. However, this can cause conflicts when email address is the same as friendly name of another address: suppose two addresses - john (i.e. local address on the same mail server) and "John" jdoe@domain.com (full-qualified address). Typing "John" will cause ambiguity.
Anyway, we will consider implementing this feature as option which can be enabled/disabled.
