I am having a few problems with an existing installation that was working OK. When a user logins they are validated (i.e. no invalid login details) and then the browser just stays on 'Logging on to server…'

Also in the admin panel, which i can login to OK, everytime i try to save i get 'save unsuccessful'

Please help. Thanks.

Were there any configuration changes on a server recently? Did you recheck that settings/settings.xml file under the data folder is writable by web server?

By the way, do you run PHP or ASP.NET edition? Which version number?

I'm running <!--5.0.7-->

I have changed the permissions to the settings and that seems to work OK now, thanks.

It appears that permissions on the logging was also haywire and modifying that allows the users to login also. Thanks.
