Is it possible for message deletion to have the server place the message in the trash?

There is no such thing as Trash folder in POP3, this protocol supports Inbox folder only. If any email client maintains Trash folder while POP3 is used, this means that folder is only within the client database, not on a server.

Thank you. I think that may explain why I see different messages using the program versus the GroupWise Web client. Since it is a web client I assumed there was no “client” database and that everything was on the server. But it has a Trash. My assumption was that the server put deleted messages into the Trash. Obviously not.
