Gmail just changed the way they implement IMAP, to correct an old implementation bug. The IMAP protocol states that IMAP GET MESSAGE BODY should mark the message as read. Google yesterday made an update to implement this. They have since reverted it, as it caused problems for non-compliant clients, but it'll no-doubt be reintroduced in the future.
In order to correctly implement the client, the PEEK mode should be set to TRUE if you get an mail's BODY from an IMAP server and don't want it marked as read. A FETCH of BODY sets the \Seen flag but a FETCH of BODY.PEEK does not.
Will a fix for this be in a future release of WebMail? And in the meantime, do you know where I can look to apply a hotfix?

When prefetch functionality was added to WebMail Pro for the first time, indeed, GET MESSAGE BODY was used and thus messages were iitially marked as read. But this behavior is modified in the latest version of WebMail Pro available here.
