Hi,
If this question asked before please excuse me, I couldn't find.

I am trying the afterlogic webmail. Every login attempt, afterlogic checks the number of messages and downloading all of the mails. If mailbox size is big (I have apx. 2000 mail, and apx.500 mb. mail size) then this time is so long.

I have also a lot of mail in hotmail, gmail and yahoo accounts but they open very fast. I have also tried roundcube, it is fast as well but there are a lot of missing features.

Is there any setup trick to make login faster?

Thanks.

Mailbox access speed highly depends on account type you use (POP3 or IMAP) and synchronization mode you choose. For example, you can choose Headers Only mode for POP3, and only message headers will be downloaded, you'll need to click a message to download it. You can also choose Direct Mode, in this case messages are not downloaded to WebMail storage, they are fetched directly from mail server and some features (sorting, filters etc.) will not be available.

You can find more info at the following page:
6. Synchronization modes. How do they work?

Thanks for your reply. I guess I have to use XMail Server Pro and pay for this. I have to think about it again.

Regards.
