We have noticed that when a user has multiple pop accounts setup that the sort order of messages changes for no reason.

For example, if the user is looking at the first pop account and has the Date sort order pointing down, then toggles to the second pop account and also points the date sort order down, that when he comes back to the first account it is then pointing up.

The situation is definately reproduceable, however it happens randomly and is hard to nail down an exact sequence of steps to reproduce.

Have you seen this issue?

Thank you for the report, we'll fix this in the next version of WebMail Pro.

Is there any fix we can apply to our existing code base? Upgrading to a full new version will be monumental for us and right now we only really have this one issue to resolve.

Unfortunately, we're unable to support upgrade for customized versions of WebMail Pro.

I figured out the problem here. Once you click the Date column the first time webmail performs an ajax call to processing.php to update the def_order column in the awm_accounts table for the current user, however subsequent clicks of the Date column does not perform ajax calls and thus the column only gets updated once per session.

Call you direct me how to ensure that the ajax call will occur each time the column headings are clicked to adjust the sort order (def_order) column?

Thanks
Rob

Just thought I should mention that I just tested this issue in your Live Demo of webmail pro and the problem exists there to which indicates that the problem is within the core code and not any of our additional custom coding.

If you click on the column headings to resort more than a few times, the ajax update only seems to occur the first or second click only and not all the time like it should.

We are aware of this issue in WebMail Pro, we never claimed it occurs due to any customization. This bug will be fixed in the next version of WebMail. However, free version upgrades don't apply to customized versions of WebMail Pro.
