Hi
I can't seem to log into Google's gmail account. I have everything the same way
as on my last server except for maybe a few things (However the Webmail program
was backed-up and MySql dump to the new server.)

I have the OpenSLL in php.ini uncommented.

The problem I have though seems to be with any external server even ones I can
connect to from the same machine via windows mail. My Webmail Pro installation
only seems to be able to connect to localhost.

Do i need to open something else to make this work?

I can not telnet my server on port 993 Do I need SSL installed on this machine
to connect to a web server that is not SSL but remote?

Thank you

Not sure if I understand the problem. If you have OpenSSL enabled, it is displayed in phpinfo output and
ports are supplied correctly for domain settings, everything should be fine. If you can't access external
mail server, that probably has something to do with ports blocked on the machine WebMail Pro is installed on.

I too believe it is a port problem, I have the firewalls set up the same and the
IP Packet filter the same as the machine that worked.

Which ports need to be open for web mail to make external contact?

I have enabled 993 995 465 25 52 143 110 80 783

Would you know if I require an SSL Certificate on my web server to make contact
with 993 995 465 or is that what OpenSSL does?

I'll also start searching port issues for Windows 2008 RC, maybe something is
different that Windows 2003. Has been in most everything else so far.

Has anyone else had the same issue?

Well it's fixed but I do not know why at the moment. The only thing I can figure
is I somehow did not copy the IPPacket rules.

What I did learn though is to move from one machine to another to keep your exact
IP Packet settings you can actually export to a file then move the file to the new
machine and import the first machines settings. Then I assigned the new rules as
the current.

Anyways sorry to waste anyone's time but if you are up against the same issue
maybe this will help.
