We utilize hMailServer as our email server.
When we use Microsoft Outlook on our desktop, we have calendar support.
We would like to incorporate a system that we would be able to use to schedule meeting invites via calendar on webmail, android/ios app. Also, possibly share contacts. Would AfterLogic Webmail Pro support the above?

Indeed, WebMail Pro supports meeting requests, those are of a standard iCalendar (.ICS) format and can be handled by wide range of calendar application, including Outlook, emClient, iOS/Android calendar apps.
We also offer Aurora Corporate product which, additionally to personal-level features available in WebMail Pro, offers groupware functionality: sharing calendars and contacts, global address book, corporate file pool, Outlook sync, etc.
Both the products are available for full-featured 30-days trial so you can try those out and see if they meet your requirements, before purchasing a license:
Download WebMail Pro PHP
Download Aurora Corporate

Thanks for this info.
Are there instructions on how to set up the trial and reverting to Lite version should I need to do so?

Installation instructions can be found here.
We recommend setting up a separate installation so your WebMail Lite setup stays unaffected.

I've installed the trial version now for WebMail Pro 8.
I see the additional features. However, nothing happens when I click the New Event button and when I create a new calendar I'm not seeing it anywhere.
When I attempt to access the calendar via the mobile app, BlueMail, I get a prompt stating that "The selected account does not offer calendar support. Calendar is currently available for Exchange ActiveSync and Google accounts."
I want users to be able to initiate meeting invites from mobile email client apps.

That looks like some kind of issue with the product installation. We could look into this if you provide us with adminpanel credentials, test account and installation URL; please send the details via HelpDesk.

That's a limitation of the mobile app, it needs to support DAV access to the calendar; instead, apparently it tries accessing native Android calendar, which doesn't have DAV support. In case of iOS, that's natively supported.

@Igor, so we don't need ActiveSync?
I created the request in HelpDesk. The installation is on a Windows Server 2012 R2 machine. So remote access I assume.

ActiveSync could be a different option for accessing mail, contacts and calendars, so you can indeed consider it - but in this particular case, this isn't required indeed.

We've just responded to it. Thank you.

Can we get that remote session because the trial will be up in 11-12 days time?

Not sure what kind of remote session you're speaking of, but we've requested a test account the issue can be reproduced with. And we can issue another trial key if needed, no problem with that.
