I am on a trial with the Pro version and got the multiple accounts working. All incoming mail comes in if I use associated username and password for the account. The problem is if I try to smtp out (on an account in another account), I have to put in the smtp username and password to mail out, and this disrupts my incoming box.

Is this a bug?

WebMail Pro is currently designed for using the single mail server, so it's assumed you have the same set of credentials for incoming and outgoing mail. Currently, the only way to have them different is to add user from AdminPanel with no domain selected.

I do have the same set of credentials for incomine and outgoing smtp. I think what the bug is that when I try to send a mail from an account within another account it does not ping the SMTP credentials and relies on the credentials that should be for the incoming username and password.

Please advise

But based on your initial message, they are different. Otherwise, I don't really see why this one would be necessary:

to put in the smtp username and password to mail out

I have all my emails under 1 account and using the same credentials for incoming and smtp. the problem is that it doesn not ping the SMTP credentials. How do I know? Because if I put the SMTP credentials instead of the incoming credentials then it mails out.

Sorry, I still don't understand.

How do you put one instead of another if they're identical?

they are not identical. I am using a 3rd party SMTP service.

In that case, my initial response stands. You need to add the user account via AdminPanel, with domain not selected. All other use scenarios assume incoming login/password and outgoing login/password are identical, so outgoing mail credentials cannot be supplied separately.

Let me understand this.

I create a user without a domain and fill in the credentials to replace each of the emails I have that are attached to a domain?

Does not work. Tested every way.

If I logout and log back into the domain that I want to mail from then it sends it out. But if the domain is part of other emails under 1 account it does not.

Have you tested this?

The advised approach assumes that you:

1) don't have any domains in AdminPanel, any domains you have there should be deleted;
2) don't use linked accounts (those added with "Add New Account" button);
3) all the email accounts which use the 3rd party SMTP server are added out of domain.

That's the only way this is going to work.

In my case when I have 5 different accounts under 1 there is no reason for me to have domain setup in the admin. It works the same.

any solution?

To help you further on this, we'll need account detail and adminpanel access of your install. If that's an option, please send us the details via HelpDesk.

How's that? Are you saying you have several accounts added to the primary one, so that you log in to primary account and then switch between accounts with a dropdown tool? If yes, it's not going to work I'm afraid. Each account must be logged in separately.

Maybe that is a feature that you can add in the future?
