I just downloaded the newest version of AfterLogic 64 bit .deb, for my Debian 64 bit server...
I followed the instructions in the online documentation and have it running on localhost:8100...
The problem I am having is that I cannot set the Default domain on the first page of the adminpanel, it says can't save...
And I cant add users to the domain, it will allow me to add the domain but when I select the domain and chick new user and enter in the information that I want it says wrong email/password... So I did some reading and found something about that I cannot add users this way they are registered on first login but this way give me the exact same results.
I am just wondering what I have wrong??
I noticed that on install it sets up a database and I noticed in adminpanel that on those default setting when I press test connection it cannot connect. So I created a new database called Mail and created all the tables via the create button in adminpanel and this will allow me to connect. but then I get the errors described above.

The question is: when exactly did you download the product? We've made a few fixes to that package a couple of days ago,
so try downloading and installing it once again. Prior to that, make sure that the existing package is completely
remove, and remove whole /usr/mailsuite dir recursively.

Okay I was already thinking about doing that exact same thing, so I downloaded a fresh copy last night, this morning after reading your post I completely deleted anything that had to do with afterlogic and mailsuite.rc ... I ran the new install and I am getting the exact same results. Actually its not even creating exim in my database, so I created it manually and selected the create tables button and I am getting the same results as my first post.
Do I need something else installed running in the background on the linux version?
Last install I used only command line, this time I figured I would try desktop so upon download I right clicked it and ran it with GDebi install. I did notice that a lot of new files where dropped on my machine this time that were not dropped last time, but I am getting same results on the back end.
What am I missing here?
Debian 64 bit server with desktop environment
Deb 64 bit afterlogic pro mail suite

reinstalled everything and noticed that exim4 is installed on Debian 6.0 so I think I will attempt to just load webpro instead of mailsuite. I will keep you posted.

According to the developers, MailSuite Pro was only tested on Debian 5.*. I've just tried installing it onto
fresh Debian 6 box and encounter a number of issues. I have reported them to the developer in charge;
hopefully, this will be resolved soon and the product becomes compatible with Debian 6.

same problem on debian 6, you need to fix permission (chmod) on /usr/mailsuite/etc/* (or edit manually).
If mailsuite-mysql is not installed (you are using stand-alone mysql), you need to fix mysql socket path
(etc/authlib/authmysqlrc, etc/exim.cnf) to /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock and set root password.
