I see that you can add recaptcha for normal email login but I do not see such an option for the admin panel login. Is there a max login limit for the admin panel?

No, this kind of protection is currently available for user interface only.

Why don't you change the URL of the admin panel? If the standard address is:
http://your.domain/webmail/adminpanel
change it to like:
http://your.domain/webmail/d0_n0T_t0uch_7is
After all, its only you who's gonna use it?!?
